This policy explains the cookies and similar storage Naborly uses, and how you control them. It sits alongside the [privacy notice](/legal/privacy), which explains how we handle personal data more broadly.

## 1. What we use, and why

- **Essential**: Cookies that keep you signed in and keep your session secure. The platform cannot work without these, so they are always on. They are set by Naborly and our authentication provider, not by advertisers.
- **Functional**: Small amounts of storage that remember your choices, such as your language and a draft you have started in the admin, so you do not lose work when you reload. These improve the experience but are not used to track you.
- **No advertising or third-party tracking**: Naborly does not use advertising cookies and does not embed third-party trackers that follow you across other sites. Where we measure how the product is used, we do it with first-party activity tied to your account, described in the privacy notice, not with third-party ad networks.

## 2. The cookies we set

Every cookie we set. It is short because we do not measure you.

| Name | What it does | How long |
| --- | --- | --- |
| naborly_lang | Remembers whether you read the site in English or Danish. | One year |
| sb-…-auth-token | Keeps you signed in, and lets the app know it is you on the next page. Set by Supabase, our authentication provider. May be split across two cookies when it is long. | Until you sign out, or sooner if you stay away |

Those are all the cookies. No analytics cookies, no advertising cookies, no social or embedded third-party trackers. A little more is kept in your browser’s own storage rather than in a cookie, so it never travels to us at all: a draft you have started in the admin, and whether you have dismissed a checklist.

## 3. Why there is no cookie banner

Both cookies above are strictly necessary or a preference you set yourself, and the Danish cookie rules (cookiebekendtgørelsen, implementing the ePrivacy Directive) require consent for everything beyond that. Since we set nothing beyond that, asking you to accept cookies would be a click with no decision behind it. If we ever add a cookie that genuinely needs consent, you will be asked before it is set, and this page will say so.

## 4. Managing cookies

You can clear or block cookies in your browser settings at any time. Blocking the language cookie only means the site stops remembering your choice. Blocking the sign-in cookie means you cannot sign in at all, because there is no other way for the app to recognise you between pages.

## 5. Changes and contact

If our use of cookies changes, we will update this page and the effective date above. For questions, contact [sander@naborly.io](mailto:sander@naborly.io).
